CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST 2026

Christmas in August is a Southern Baptist summer tradition to benefit missionaries, agencies and the people they serve in the name of Jesus Christ. 

This year we will shower gifts on Send Relief in Cannonsburg. The Send Relief Appalachia Ministry Center is committed to strengthening communities, supporting in the aftermath of disaster and protecting children and families. It provides literacy and education resources, offers medical and dental care, and assists Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.

• If you prefer to shop locally and put items under the Christmas Tree near the gym, please review the online list for equivalent items and sizes.
• If you want to give money, put cash or checks in an envelope marked “Christmas in August” or put those words in the memo line of the check. Place these gifts in the offering plate or take to the church office. Checks should be payable to FBC Russell because one check will be mailed to the  ministry center when the campaign is over at the end of August.
